That Time of the Year Again

July 28, 2009

A few days ago I had to go to my Summer job to apply for rehiring and I was so excited because I would meet up with some awesome people I hadn’t seen in a year.

Do you ever have one of those moments when you go somewhere and all of your memories of that place come alive? I’m sure you have, but that’s just my opinion. Anyway, as soon as I walked onto the company’s property, I began to remember the cool breeze in the morning that welcomed me just before we set up for work. To add onto this fascinating form of déjà vu (that’s right, I was born to a French-speaking mother; the spelling is right), the location of the rehiring was at the same location as our free breakfast spot (yes we are loved and are given free breakfast), so everything was full of familiarity (Run-on sentence?).

I actually didn’t get to see my actual working station but since I start work tomorrow, I think I can wait! I love being a rehire because we are given “first serve” on where and when we should work. I chose the same area in which I worked last year as so did my friends who worked with me then. Even my managers were excited to hear that I was working in the same spot again. I guess old memories (relatively old) and good times are just awesome like that.
